FDG Engineering and Design was founded in 2018 by Patrick Fahey BEs, BSc, with a vision to provide exceptional engineering and design services in County Galway and beyond. What began as a solo endeavor has since evolved into a thriving company, boasting a team of highly skilled engineers.
Patrick Fahey is the driving force behind FDG Engineering and Design. A graduate with honors in Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 2008, Patrick’s passion for engineering excellence propelled him into the field, where he gained valuable experience working on various civil engineering and building projects. Eager to expand his knowledge and skills, Patrick pursued further studies, graduating with honors in Bachelor of Science in 2016.

Civil/Structural Engineer: Design and analyze structures like buildings, bridges, or roads to ensure they are safe and functional. Collaborate with architects and construction teams, create blueprints, and oversee projects to meet technical standards and regulations.
CAD Technician: Use computer-aided design software to create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications from engineers and architects. Assist in drafting and modifying designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
Architectural Technician: Support architects in designing buildings and structures by creating technical drawings, models, and specifications. Work on construction documentation, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and ensure designs meet building codes and standards.
